While I have several weddings still to capture, i am reasonably confident i can award my season’s “most laid back and easy going couple” award to Sara and Pete. Getting ready at their own home, a “first look”l on the sidewalk out front, a walk in the park for photos, a ferry ride to an Alderney Landing ceremony and Wooden Monkey reception made up the events of their big day. Not even construction on the waterfront or the kids 5th birthday party also happening in the park literally right next to their ceremony distracted them from being in the moment and embracing the day. I watched them “work the room” and be sure to visit with every guest there, and really connect with their family and friends. You’ll have to ask them about the Monkey, or ape……i don’t want to get it wrong and be subject to a Rafferty burn.
