On a crazy hot Sunday in July I drove to Mineville for a wedding. Friends and family of Nicole and Chris decorated a tent, barbequed some steaks, fired up iTunes and put on their purple’y best for “a backyard lobster boil that happened to have a wedding at it”-to steal a line from the FOB’s speech. The couple did an enormous amount of work to pull the day off, and yet not a sign of stress in a single frame. Smiles, belly laughs, and intimate moments down by the river, which is also in their backyard. I spent the day shooting in my bare feet, reapplying bug spray and finished with the best lemon wedding cake ever, made by the MOG.
