Life with Twins: its just a day at the beach July 25, 2017

So, I have five year old twins. My life feels like a circus most days. I run my photography business from inside this very loud, wild, joy and dirty laundry filled house that my twins share with me. I pinky swore with one of them the other day, that mummy was going to work harder at taking the time to just play and have fun. That is what a day at the beach should feel like for little humans and their grown ups and so that’s what i set out to do with my family session for another set of twins, Thomas and James. As parents, we often get caught up in getting things right, and making them picture perfect…….but life with twins will teach you that plan B, C, and D are usually what get enacted. So instead of four smiling faces being considered a successful shoot, I made sure that capturing moments of joy and authentic relationships is what i was going after, and thankfully i had clients who were after the same thing! Summer is so short, and so is this early stage of childhood (although the days themselves feel REALLY LONG). So this is your reminder to enjoy, remember and capture if you can, the realness of your family and those little human beings who think they are in charge of it right now!
