Lesley & Richard June 14, 2014
Thundershowers. The forecast called for thundershowers. I packed all my gear, all my umbrellas and off I went. Nobody in the wedding party, including the bride and groom, complained about the weather hand the day had dealt, and guess what? The rain stopped, and the drizzle co-operated just long enough for us to take a chance, leave the cover of the limos and get some great outdoor shots. Fortunately, Lesley was the kind of bride who was fearless about her dress and hair, both of which held up just fine, and Richard and his groomsmen kept the bride and bridesmaids under umbrella cover whenever needed. It was a fun and unusual experience to be shooting a wedding at the Halifax Public Gardens and basically have the place to ourselves. It was a pleasure covering the rest of their day as well, which was filled with loving family and friends, ended with an amazing live band called Partyboots, and the Prince George Hotel’s version of Poutine! Thanks Lesley and Richard for being so elegant and laid back all at the same time.
