Kelcie & Matt’s Downtown Halifax Wedding July 10, 2018

Kelcie and Matt only lived in Halifax a few years, but it certainly left quite an impression. We spent Canada Day jumping from Granville Street for a first look, to Point Pleasant Park for pictures, Peir 21 for their ceremony to the Tap Room above the Lower Deck for the reception. Keeping one ear on the toasts while shooting, from what I gathered, Kelcie and Matt met while at Dalhousie University while he was taking out the garbage and her girlfriends yelled “Hey Good Looking” on her behalf.. Quite taken with Kelcie he invited her to a party he was throwing, and then quickly called his friends down from Amherst (a three hour drive) to stage said party. I smiled to myself while listening and keeping track of shutter speeds and focus points, but all of the bride and grooms guests were totally into such a great story on how they first met. The toasts wrapped up with an unforgettable tag line. “He took out the trash and found himself a treasure”. I mean C’mon! Oopsie Daisy Floral, great work on an all greenery bouquet.
