Kaleena & Thomas’s backyard bus tour wedding day! October 13, 2021

The level of creativity and thinking way outside the box displayed by couples getting married in 2021 is impressive. I showed up to Kaleena and Thomas’s house mid-morning on a Saturday in September to find the couple had hired a mobile cafe for their guests. Fresh coffee and pastries is an excellent way to start a wedding day! Every inch of their backyard, and adjoining neighbors, was dressed in style and put to use. Somehow the neighborhood went magically silent and still as if on cue, providing an intimate backdrop for vows, champagne toasts and first dances. Guests then spent the afternoon on a bus tour of the couple’s favorite spots in the HRM. The last stop for guests was a return to the couple’s house where a food truck awaited with comfort food while Kaleena and Thomas headed to Herring Cove look off to read personalized vows to each other at sunset. The rain held off until the very last bit of useful daylight. I love my job. You had me at coffee.
