Jenn & Kevin | Sainte Famillie Winery July 26, 2018
My dad used to tell a story about how they would “have a time” down in Terrance Bay for wedding receptions back in the day. They would throw down a plywood dance floor on the front lawn of the tiny family home which overlooks the bay and dance to fiddle music till they “fell asleep” from the moonshine.
Jenn and Kevin’s day was as close as I can imagine to how relaxed and romantic “having a time” on your wedding day must have been all those years ago. Live music rang out during the ceremony while tractors slowly drove by in the background. I cried behind the lens while Kevin cried through his vows. My favorite moment of the day? When “Pretty Woman” started to play from the cocktail hour (the song, not the movie) and I caught the couple starting to groove, just the tiniest bit. I hollered “dorky dance party please” across the vineyard and boy howdy they went for it.
It is a privilege to be included in such authentic celebrations with couples who know exactly who they are.
