Erika & Ryan Say I Do, Part One | Intimate Backyard Wedding in Nova Scotia September 9, 2020

Erika and Ryan held a Plan B but round one of their wedding day celebrations this past Saturday on their original 2020 wedding date. 2021 will have us together again for round two, with something that resembles the original plan at the fabulous Lord Nelson Hotel. For this year, only very close family and bubbled friends gathered round the backyard for an exchange of vows, followed by champagne and beer toasts and a barbecue. Neighbours offered their backyards for photos, and wished the couple well. While I am missing the hustle and bustle of a full wedding season and the 9 or 10 hour shooting days in multiple grand locations, there is something about the authentic simplicity of how people are celebrating love and marriage this year that is undeniably charming. 2020 backyard “I Do’s” for the win!
