Emily & Jason | Liscombe Lodge Wedding September 27, 2018
Where to begin with these two. When we first met they told me they love to go on weekend trips to explore Nova Scotia, and those adventures always involve brunch. And that’s exactly what they did for their wedding celebration. A brunch wedding gathered friends and family close, deep into the eastern shore of Nova Scotia.
Emily and Jason woke early to fancy themselves up for their morning photo shoot before their ceremony. Armed with a can of bug spray and a “let’s do this” attitude we even snuck in a visit to those amazing boats we discovered along the side of the highway.
Emily warned me there would be lots of tears and emotion, and boy was she right in the best way. Don’t get me started about the way Jason looks at Emily.
There is something about the character of a man who chooses his grandfather to stand by his side as his best man. That has only happened to me three times in my 17 years of shooting, but it has always been an amazing feeling of respect to be around. And I, who lives and works in Halifax, finally got to try a Vandal donut at Liscombe Lodge.
