Caroline & Nicholas May 21, 2016
“It’s like trying to dress an Orangutan” said mother and daughter as they tried to get 9 month old (son and grandson) Zachary in his suit. I love being part of weddings that are all about celebrating family, and when there are very young children involved it certainly ups the ante. While “little one” weddings are more logistically complicated, they can also be a lot more fun. In his toast to his bride, daddy Nicholas took note of how Caroline is handling motherhood with grace, and I’d have to agree. Working diaper changes and breastfeeding into a wedding day schedule, keeping track of all things baby, bride, and wedding party, she stayed calm, happy, and present in the moment. This trickled down to baby Zachary, and all of us around her. From one mama to another Caroline, I tip my hat to you. And to the backstage crew of other moms who took care of Zachary all day so that Caroline and Nicholas could be “just two” for a lot of their wedding day, a public thank you.
