Brittany, Brett and Brittany’s Bump | Halifax Maternity Photography June 10, 2020
Britt and Brett were married last September on a joy-filled and magical wedding day that I had the privilege of capturing. Other days have been less shiny for these two. A “mishap” with a sledgehammer prevented their engagement session from happening. This winter they lost the roof off their home. But somehow Brittany is still spreading light, by being her usual easy going and upbeat self as she grows a tiny human inside her during a pandemic. As my first “physically distanced” session of this season, I could not have asked for more thoughtful and authentic subjects. We made small talk afterwards, about the significance of blossoms in her life, and the challenges of listing a house at the onset of Covid-19 real estate market and showing it with holes in the ceiling! They steered the conversation back to me and asked about my family and what my wedding season would look like this year. None of us ugly-cried, although we have reason too. They kept calling themselves blessed. It’s okay to remember that some days days just plain suck, and some days you get to shine a little light! Happy housewarming Brett and Britt, and little Bump Davidson!
