Ashley & Pietro | Citadel Hill Nova Scotia Wedding Photography October 2, 2017

Meet Ashley and Pietro. They are a photographers dream mix of grounded and real, a touch of glam, and totally smitten with each other. They took on hosting their own wedding and with a huge amount of help from family and friends they pulled it off. While she got her make up done, Ashley’s girls sat around making bouquets from Costco flowers, packing tape, and the waistband ribbons from their bridesmaids robes and Pietro’s boys moved furniture, ran errands, triple checked the sound system. An entertaining bunch, my take away quote for the day was from Pietro. “What, they girls are up there eating Nutella on banana’s and we’re down here eating cheesies like Hobos”! Thanks to Kitchen Door and Layers for hooking us up with some fancier fare later in the day. Ashley you were not a “bad bride” because you forgot the ribbon for flowers, you were an incredible one for not worrying about the results of your maid of donors floral skills. Pietro, I loved the way your thumb stroked Ashley’s hand through the entire ceremony, and of course, how you look at her and make her laugh. It was a pleasure to meet the Ruby in your life, she was much easier to work with than my Ruby currently is. Hug your nan for me.
