Lauren & John | Bedford Farmers Market Wedding October 24, 2018

As my last wedding of the 2018 season, I arrived to start coverage with equal amount of determined focus and giddy relief that I’d get a break next weekend! But then, it started to rain on Lauren and John’s day, and eyes come to you for answers and guidance and you remember why you love doing this. I somehow almost have more fun on wedding days that have rain, crazy I know. Maybe it’s showing off my stash of Amazon Prime camera worthy umbrellas, or singing Baby Shark to a toddler to keep her distracted from the cold, but I love the challenge of a “not-so-perfect” wedding day. Lauren and John and the people they surrounded themselves with made capturing the joy and emotion of the day easy for me. While I’m shooting and keeping track of shutter speeds and which flash I labeled B slave, I notice the great music choices they made for those moments. An amazing cover of “This is Me” played while they signed the register, and they used another cover of “Sweet Child O Mine” for first dances with their parents. Touches like this, paired with a great venue in the Bedford Farmers Market, and a decor assist from One Day Affair made for a day that was both polished and authentic at the same time. The perfect mix, and a great way for me to wrap up my wedding season this year. Off to listen to my fall family editing anthem, “This is Me”.
