Anne & Mackenzie | Rainy Whitepoint Wedding Day September 6, 2017
Well, it poured rain most of the day, with winds gusting to 50km oceanside at Whitepoint Beach Resort on Anne and MacKenzie’s big day. The drive down for me was somber, as i wrapped my head around my “indoor wedding” rain plan for the couple. I had purchased extra umbrellas just in case we might sneak some small pockets of light drizzle time, and my bride was game and feeling brave. Well, brave does not begin to cover the attitude Anne, Mackenzie and their wedding party brought to the day. Anne was fearless…..”if i’m going to get married in a oceanside storm let’s go get pictures in an oceanside storm”. Well okay then! Beyond helpful groomsmen who held umbrellas, and bridesmaids who actually thanked me at the end of the night and told me the wind and rainstorm photoshoot was lots of fun. If you let them, wedding days can be quite stressful for everyone, but this one was indeed actually fun and it’s because of how well everyone simply embraced the day and went with it. I’d like to think that tiny pocket of post ceremony no rain we were given for those dreamy foggy beach photos was a gift to the couple from above for having such a good attitude. And have i mentioned they did all this with little Miss Callie in tow as well. Go Mama brides everywhere!
