Sears FamilyOctober 2016
Look at those eyes Noah is laying on me! While the grounds were damp and the weather a bit chilly, Noah and his parents Crista and Stephen Dunlavy brought me good cheer and lots of smiles early one Sunday morning. We squeaked in a fall family session before the time change, and in between drizzle and rain forecasts. Thanks for having the determination to get it done mama Crista!
Roy Family But Mostly Brayden & William!October 2016
It makes my heart happy when i get to reconnect with former clients and play around in a park with their growing families. Working with Janet and Graham, through wedding, baby, and family sessions has always been a pleasure, but last weeks family session was too funny. Their two boys Brayden and William are full of spunk and personality. While I know, as a mom, it's important to get at least a couple frames with everyone looking forward and somewhat happy, it's the in between that makes a session interesting for me. That's when i get to know your kids. Thanks again guys, for spending some time with me, hope you like the "spunk" shots as much as i do!
Emerson & Co At The BeachAugust 2016
Emerson is four, he likes running, and jumping, and then running some more. Ava is 7 months old, is working on sitting up, and is pretty "chill". While combining these ages for a family session can be a challenge, as a fellow mom, you just keep shooting, hustling, and try and do right by the mom who reached out to you for help. Both you and she know that capturing images that chronicle family as as it grows and changes is important, even though the experience of getting those images might not always feel like a day at the beach! Stay calm and run along.
Sarah & Brandon's Beach Engagement SessionAugust 2016
Sarah and Brandon are getting married this November, so we thought we should think warm thoughts and head to the beach for their engagement session. Crystal Crescent in Sambro Nova Scotia did not disappoint on a lazy August night. See you again in November, with wraps for the girls, tuxedo jackets for the guys, and hot chocolate for everyone when we wrap the shoot!
Hawes FamilyAugust 2016
I feel the need to explain. While I love a good naked baby feet shot, even I will admit this is a lot of feet, and a little weird. Lochlan is 5 months old, a lovely age for smiles and alertness, but he's not quite able to sit up on his own yet. So while setting up the "feet in a row" shot we found out he did not want to lay down, but preferred instead to play with toes while being propped up in between mommy and daddy, who let me tag along on their wedding day three years ago. Once Danielle and Christopher were laying in the grass, I tried to give them a snooze break, but Lochan went for the nose instead. Welcome to parenthood guys, never a dull moment and your body parts are no longer your own!
